The Light Cruiser "M Project"
The Light Cruiser is a line of ships in the Cruiser category, more powerful than Destroyers, but not as powerful as a Heavy Cruiser or a Battleship. Generally, light cruisers can outrun heavy cruisers and battleships, but are slightly below or on par with the speed of destroyers. A few light cruisers such as the Emerald Class can carry reconnaissance planes. Some examples of light cruisers include:
- UK- Emerald Class
- Germany- Koenigsberg Class
- Germany- M Project
Some recommended uses of light cruiser's, are the escort of aircraft carriers, the reconnaissance of enemy waters, the engagement of submarines, and the ability to reach a target at relatively fast speeds.
